How to Customize Your Facebook URL

This week’s tip is simple, short, and sweet. If you’ve an author (or anyone) who has recently added a Page (aka fan page) to your Profile on Facebook, you’ll love this. As soon as you have a minimum of 25 “like”s, you can change your URL from this: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=6127*4#&re

To this: http://www.facebook.com/julieortolon/

It’s really simple! Just go to: http://www.facebook.com/username/

You can change both your personal profile and your official “Page,” so pay attention and be sure you select the right page when it asks which page you want to customize. Other than that, it’s easy-peasy.

Thanks for that tip, Julie. Your blog has been tremendously useful.

Not only was it easy – Facebook did it for me before I clicked on anything. That was eerie!

  7. Hmm, Anna, I went to facebook.com/AnnaJacobs and I don’t think that’s you. Maybe you can get /AnnaJacobsAuthor.
